How to Choose the Right Filament

Wet filament can cause popping sounds, stringing, and rough surfaces. Drying the filament usually resolves these issues.

Nozzle clogs may occur when dust, debris, or degraded material blocks extrusion.

Brittle filament often snaps when fed into the printer. This filament can happen when the spool is old or has absorbed moisture.

Inconsistent diameter may lead to under-extrusion or over-extrusion.

Routine maintenance and proper storage reduce the likelihood of these problems.

Improving Print Results

Adjust nozzle and bed temperatures according to the filament manufacturer's recommendations.

Calibrate retraction settings to reduce stringing.

Clean the nozzle and extruder gears regularly.

Use high-quality filament with tight diameter tolerances.

Print a small test model when using a new filament to fine-tune settings.
